Walkthrough
- 1Advance south toward Calphade Castle entrance — bypass or fight Black Bears
- 2Enter castle and reunite with Oongka at castle entry point
- 3Proceed deeper into castle toward throne room where Cassius Morten awaits
- 4Boss fight: Cassius Morten uses heavy attacks and shield defense
- 5Use heavy attacks repeatedly — damage pierces shield, interrupts after 3 hits
- 6Alternative: Use Nature's Grasp on falling pillars to slam them into boss
- 7After defeating Cassius Morten, inform Marquis Lanford of victory
- 8Travel to Calphade Beacon — light fire arrows using torch flames
- 9Return to Howling Hill and speak with Yann, Duane, and Oongka to finalize
Tips
- Equip Tauria Curved Sword from previous boss for optimal damage
- Purchase Nature's Echo skill to duplicate heavy attacks for more pressure
- Boss has long attack chains — be patient dodging and retaliating methodically
- Environmental damage stacking: knock pillars down with boss attacks, grab with Nature's Grasp, slam for massive blunt damage
- Focus heavy attacks on shield — each 3-hit combo interrupts him for light attack follow-ups
- Stock 50+ Grilled Meat before fight — cook multiple portions at Hernand stations
- Final stage is pure story: beacon lighting and comrade reunions — no combat
