- 1Travel north from Hernand to meet the guide at the beacon tower
- 2Mount your horse and follow the scout on horseback to the ambush site
- 3Investigate the fallen soldiers and defeat or escape from Black Bears
- 4Continue following the scout to the Calphade Gate
- 5Proceed through the Calphade Gate camp and meet Barden Middler at the entrance
